About Coaching

What is the difference between coaching and therapy?

+

Therapy is a licensed clinical service that diagnoses and treats mental health conditions. Coaching is not therapy. Charlie is not a licensed therapist and does not diagnose, treat, or create clinical records. Coaching is practical, forward-focused, and action-oriented. It is about identifying where you want to go and building the tools to get there. If you need licensed therapy, Charlie will tell you honestly.

Is coaching confidential?

+

Yes. Everything discussed in sessions is confidential. There are no clinical records shared with insurance companies or third parties. What happens in your sessions stays between you and Charlie.

Can I do coaching if my partner is not on board?

Yes. Individual sessions focused on relationship challenges are available. Start with a free call and Charlie will help you think through the best approach for your situation, including how to have the conversation with your partner about coaching.

+

Is coaching faith-based or religious?

+

No. Charlie's coaching is values-based, not religious. It is grounded in respect, honesty, and commitment. Couples of all backgrounds and beliefs are welcome. If your faith is important to your relationship, Charlie can incorporate that perspective into sessions at your request.

Sessions and Logistics

How long does a session last?

+

Standard sessions are 60 minutes. Workshop sessions are half-day intensives (approximately 4 hours). The free discovery call is 30 minutes.

Where do sessions take place?

+

All sessions are virtual via Google Meet. You do not need to download an app. A link is sent to you ahead of each session. You can join from any device, your laptop, phone, or tablet.

How many sessions will we need?

+

It depends on what you are working through. Premarital coaching typically runs 4 to 8 sessions. Couples coaching typically runs 6 to 12 sessions. Some couples come back periodically for tune-up sessions after completing a program. There is no rigid package and no pressure to commit to a long program before you are ready.

How often do sessions happen?

+

Most couples schedule sessions every one to two weeks. This gives enough time to work on the tools and exercises from each session before the next one. Charlie will discuss a schedule that works for your situation on the discovery call.

Pricing and Getting Started

How much does coaching cost?

+

PRICING PLACEHOLDER — Add session pricing here. Example: Individual sessions are $XXX per 60-minute session. Package pricing for 6 and 12 sessions is available at a reduced rate. Payment plans are available. Pricing is discussed on the free discovery call.

Do you accept insurance?

+

No. Coaching is not a licensed clinical service and is not covered by health insurance. All sessions are self-pay. This also means there are no insurance claims, no diagnosis codes, and no clinical records, which many clients prefer for privacy reasons.

Is the free discovery call really free?

+

Yes. No credit card required. No obligation. No sales pitch at the end. It is a genuine 30-minute conversation to understand where you are, answer your questions, and determine whether coaching is the right fit. If it is not, Charlie will tell you that too.

What happens after I book the free call?

+

You will receive a confirmation email with a Google Meet link. Show up at your scheduled time. Charlie will lead the conversation. By the end of the call you will know clearly whether coaching is the right next step and what that would look like for your specific situation.
